Beef Efficiency Scheme - Advisory Services

One of the requirements of the Beef Efficiency Scheme is that customers need to attend one of the group events organised by the Farm Advisory Service (FAS) that are held throughout the country.

Due to the unprecedented weather the country has experienced this year, it has been decided that the event will be opened up to all farmers and crofters. These events will provide advice and guidance on how to provide plentiful food over winter, maintain the wellbeing of livestock and optimise beef enterprise performance.

Scheme participants will receive advance notice of when and where the events will be held, and what to expect from the group event. For farmers and crofters who wish to attend that are not a scheme participant, information will be shared through a number of our stakeholders including NFUS and the Scottish Rural Network with a list of calendar dates and booking details to be published by FAS shortly.

FAS has already begun to send out targeted mailing to participants. So look out for your letter in the post, and sign up for an event near you.
