Beef Efficiency Scheme - First Tagging Round

The genotyping selection of calves born in autumn 2017 has been made. Animals selected for tagging are available on the BES pages of your ScotEID account.

The selection also includes any bulls which need to be tissue tagged.

Tissue tags will be issued directly from Neogen, the laboratory that will be processing the tissue samples. It will also include an instruction leaflet for the use of the tags and two copies of the sample submission form –

one to be retained for your own records
one to be returned with the samples

If animals have been selected for this round, you will receive tags by the end of April 2018.

The deadline for returning samples from this selection is 30 June, 2018.
