Beef Efficiency Scheme - Tagging round for spring born animals
A tagging selection for calves born in spring 2021 has been made and tags will be issued in batches from Wednesday 8 September.
If you have animals selected, the list of animals for your business will be identified on your ScotEID BES account on the tagging tab.
If you have not received your tags by Friday 17 September, please contact the Beef Efficiency Scheme Team as soon as possible so they can trace the package.
The return deadline for tissue samples is 31 December 2021.
Background
Tag kits will be sent out via our service provider Neogen. The kit will include tags, return packaging and a submission form. There will be two copies of the submission form, please complete both and retain one for your records.
