Genotyping tissue tags have yet to be issued to beef producers and, given this situation, farmers who would normally sell animals at this time should feel free to do this.

We will ensure that the sampling regime accommodates those farmers who have sold their calves and there will be no penalties for them. However it may mean that some farmers will have a higher rate of sampling next year.
