CAP replacement – share your views

A consultation on the Scottish Government’s proposals for replacing the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) is closing soon.

Whilst change is needed, it needs to be fair and equitable. To have your say, please take a few minutes to complete the 'Agricultural Transition in Scotland' consultation

Our consultation paper provides an overview of the key themes and recommendations from Farmer Led Groups, including the suckler beef, arable, dairy and pig sectors as well as the hill, upland farming and crofting sectors.

The replacement for CAP will guide farming, food production and land use for many years to come.

Supporting farmers and crofters to safeguard their economic sustainability, and reforming our approach to land use and management will be core to delivering all the requirements set by Parliament for Scotland’s efforts to reach Net Zero.

The consultation closes on Wednesday 17 November.
