Coronavirus guidance for animal owners and beekeepers published
Guidance for animal owners related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has been published by the Scottish Government.
All animals owners are advised to:
- consider how they would continue to care for their animals if self-isolating
- keep dogs from self-isolating households on a lead when in public
- follow general hygiene measures
Beekeepers are advised to:
- continue to work and care for your animals in the normal manner, as far as possible. You should not take measures that compromise the welfare of the animals in your care.
- maintain good biosecurity at your apiary.
- not share beekeeping equipment with other beekeepers, particularly hive tools and other handheld devices and protective clothing.
