Rural Payments and Services

At the end of 2017, new regulations were approved by the European Commission that will mean some changes to the 2018 Greening rules that apply to Scottish farmers and producers.

We are currently reviewing the new regulations and will update our customer guidance for Greening 2018 as soon as possible.

However, early indications are that some changes may offer opportunities for farmers to meet their greening obligations while further enhancing benefits to the environment.
