RP&S and the new Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS)
Rural Payments and Services (RP&S) will be unavailable on Sunday, 25 March from 8:00am until Monday, 26 March at 8:00am.
This is to allow for the introduction of essential new data to the new Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS).
As you may be aware, we are introducing a new system of land change management to RP&S – giving land managers the ability to verify their data and update it directly. LPIS will ultimately deliver more accurate mapping, improved functionality and faster processing for transactional customers across Scotland.
This process involves making regular updates to the data we hold on all land used to support Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) payments. The above downtime will allow us to introduce new data to support the LPIS.
In a minority of cases, this may have an effect on Single Application Forms that have already been submitted. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient for the small number affected and we will do everything possible to minimise any further inconvenience to customers. We will write to all those directly affected immediately following the introduction of data this Sunday with further information.
On-going boundary changes will continue in to early April allowing farmers and crofters to utilise the most up-to-date information. Subsequently no further changes will be applied within the SAF application window as requested by stakeholders.
We will recommence the updating of mapping information after the SAF application window closes on 15 May, 2018 with customers being able to use the new LPIS mapping tool and functionality from Summer 2018.
