Scottish Upland Sheep Support Scheme applications open 1st September

The Scottish Upland Sheep Support Scheme (SUSSS) opens for applications this Friday (1 September).

This scheme provides additional support, on top of the Basic Payment Scheme, to sheep producers who farm in Scotland's rough grazing areas.

These payments help farmers maintain the social and environmental benefits that sheep flocks bring to certain areas.

Using our online service is the easiest and quickest way to submit your claim. It helps stop mistakes and reduces the administration costs of the scheme.

Even if you have no access to the internet, you may be able to make use of computers in your local area office.

Please look at our Rural Payments and Services website for more information on this and our full scheme guidance.

Applications will close on 16 October.
