Single Application Form (SAF) application window deadline

The Single Application Form (SAF) window closes on 15 June, 2016. To avoid EU penalties, a SAF and all supporting documentation must be received by Rural Payments and Inspections Division (RPID) by 15 June 2016.

This includes the seasonal common grazing form required for any seasonal common grazing shares.

We would urge you not to delay and submit your clients’ SAFs as soon as possible.

You can find step-by-step instructions on filling out a SAF 2016 online on Rural Payments and Services.

Customer Online Guidance – 2016

Important points to remember:

•All supporting documentation must be supplied along with the SAF on or by 15 June 2016 or penalties may apply. This includes the seasonal common grazing form required for any seasonal common grazing shares.

•A Land Maintenance Form (LMF) will be required where the applicant has included new land (white space), has a land boundary change or made a change to the internal features. This does not need to be submitted by 15 June 2016 but if they’re not submitted as soon as possible this may lead to delays in processing a SAF and any payments that become due.

•If a producer / agent wishes to build in a ‘safety net’ for a parcel then they should not increase the ineligible area to do so. Increasing the ineligible area by either increasing the generic exclusion or adding an ineligible land use should only be used when there is an ineligible feature physically on the ground. If the producer / agent wishes to incorporate a ‘safety net’ they should declare the land as it is physically on the ground and build in a ‘safety net’ by decreasing the actual LFASS / BPS claimed
area. Increasing a generic exclusion or adding in a new ineligible area land use code will trigger a validation error which requires a LMF to be submitted to identify the ineligible area.
