Sustainable Agriculture Capital Grant Scheme 2022 (SACGS 2022)

It is estimated that agricultural activities account for around 90% of ammonia emissions. SACGS 2022 will offer support for low emission slurry spreading equipment and slurry store covers that are proven to reduce harmful ammonia emissions and reduce adverse impacts on water quality resulting from the storage and spreading of livestock slurry and digestate.

Who can apply for SACGS 2022?

Scottish farmers, crofters and agricultural contractors who store and/or spread livestock slurry or digestate who are registered with the Scottish Government Rural Payments and Inspections Division (SGRPID) can apply for this grant. Businesses who are not registered with SGRPID will need to register.

How much money can a business apply for?

SACGS 2022 will offer grants based on standard costs. The maximum grant amount a single business can receive is £20,000.
