Due to the current unprecedented political climate we are, unfortunately, unable to make any approval decisions at this time regarding the 2019 AECS application Round.

AECS is funded in part from domestic UK funds as well as from European Union funding. As a direct result of delays imposed by the postponement of the UK budget earlier this year for the General Election, we are unable to determine the domestic budget available for the 2019 round yet.

Letters are being issued to those businesses with applications that have been found to be eligible for potential funding consideration, either in full or in part but subject to budget decisions. They have also been reminded not to start any of the work from their application until they have received a contract offer from us, and we have advised that work can commence via the “authority to start work” letter.

We plan to contact these applicants again in the New Year with a decision on their applications when we have confirmation of the budget available for the scheme.
