2021 marks the 9th year of the Farm Safety Foundation and will have the continued support of ScotGov Rural. This year it will highlight the causes and consequences of life-changing or life-ending farm incidents, the hidden dangers of farming and what the industry and individuals are doing to address this.

It aims to encourage the farming community to recognise the real dangers of working in the industry and the importance of looking after their physical and mental wellbeing each and every day, not just for Farm Safety Week.

This year, the campaign will promote good safety practices and share positive stories about the use of innovation and education to improve safety. It aims to dispel the myths surrounding risks assessments and encourage those living and working in farming to assess farming tasks and take appropriate measures to ensure safety.

Yellow Wellies will work with HSE, HSENI, Farm Safety Partnerships, farming unions, industry and its farm safety ambassadors to illustrate the state of play in the industry.
