June Agricultural Census - deadline extension
The deadline for the Scottish Government’s 2023 Agricultural Census has been extended to Sunday 27 August.
The census provides key information on the health of the farming industry and will enable us to tailor our support for the sector.
The quickest and easiest way to complete the June Agricultural Census is online through the Rural Payments and Services (RP&S) website.
Getting online
You will need a personal RP&S account. If you don’t have one, create one on the website. Get ready now – it can take up to 30 days to have your account approved.
Once you have an online account you can attach it to your business. If your existing business is paper-based, follow the ‘claim offline identity’ process on RP&S to take it online.
- For assistance with setting up your online account watch our tutorial videos
- if you have forgotten your login details you can reset these on the RP&S website
- if you require assistance getting online please contact your local area office
Completing your census form online
From Thursday 1 June, log on to your RP&S account, click on your business name (shown as a blue hyperlink) and select the ‘Ag Census’ section of the menu bar. The deadline has been extended and you now have until Sunday 27 August to complete the Agricultural Census.
