On Monday 7 September the Scottish Government will be launching a pilot grant scheme called the Sustainable Agriculture Capital Grant Scheme (SACGS).

The scheme offers capital grant funding of up to £20,000 for farmers and crofters to purchase specific items of agricultural equipment to support them in the delivery of direct Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reductions on Scottish farms and crofts.

This in turn will help Scotland to deliver on its highly ambitious statutory climate change targets as well in the majority of cases delivering improvement in air and water quality or animal welfare. The grants are funded by the Scottish Government.

Full details on eligibility and how to apply will be available from 7th September on the Rural Payments & Services website.
