Routemap and list of draft measures published for Agri Reform Programme (ARP)
A route map and list of draft measures has been published which provides further clarity on how we intend to deliver the ambitions set out in the Scottish Government’s Vision for Agriculture, published in March 2022.
The Agriculture Reform Route Map sets out the timescales for information and interaction with the agricultural industry. As we continue to make progress with the Agriculture Reform Programme there will be further opportunities to share key information with farmers, crofters and landowners to help them plan and prepare for the changes the programme will deliver from 2025.
The Draft Agriculture Reform List of Measures is a supporting document for farmers and crofters, intended to show the measures currently being appraised by Scottish Government. This list of measures has been built on academic research and recommendations of the Farmer Led Climate Change Groups. These measures have undergone initial evaluation of impact and ease of application on farms and crofts and cost and this evaluation process will now continue in order to ensure Scottish Government applies the most effective and applicable measures to the right tier of future support.
