Single Application Form (SAF) - creating Ecological Focus Area (EFA) maps

With three weeks to go until the deadline for Single Application Form (SAF) submission, it is worth highlighting the guidance available on creating Ecological Focus Area (EFA) maps.

You must submit your maps along with your SAF detailing the location and size of the EFA area.

You only need to include field (s) which have EFA options and you can create individual maps for different land parcels.

If you have EFA options and you do not submit a map by the SAF closing date, part of your greening payment will be penalised.

Full guidance can be found on the Rural Payments and Services website when you are logged in and by clicking on the question mark icon in ‘View Only Maps’.

The guidance informs you on how to draw your EFA map by marking up lines, measuring areas and adding text to the map.

Please note that you should add the EFA maps as supporting documents before pressing the submit button.

Full guidance is also available on Rural Payments and Services on how to complete your Single
Application Form (SAF).
