Customers may be aware that the closing date for transfers of Basic Payment Scheme entitlements for the 2016 claim year was April 4, 2016.

We have carried out initial checks on all applications received by this date but unfortunately, we are unable to process these applications any further at present due to our focus on making payments and processing 2016 SAFs. These applications are expected to be processed from autumn 2016.

To allow for the processing to happen as quickly as possible, we would ask customers who have submitted a transfer application not to contact the Entitlement Transfer Unit asking for updates on the progress of entitlement transfers. Our staff will not be able to process transfers before the autumn. Applicants will be notified when their application has been processed.
