Listed here is the number and level of separate breaches found under each Statutory Management Requirement (SMRs) and Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition (GAECs) during Cross Compliance-related inspections.

There is also information relating to the number and level of payment reductions applied to claims once the various capping and repetition rules have been applied.

Please note:

up to 2016 breach figures are based on the number of overall breaches of a particular GAEC/SMR
2016 breaches figures are based on the number of individual breaches of a GAEC/SMR. Multiple breaches of the same GAEC/SMR by the business (identified by the “Reference number”) are shown on separate rows of the worksheets. The exception is SMR 7 (Cattle ID and Traceability) where each business is only listed once with multiple breaches shown in separate columns
although the 2016 figures provide more detailed breach information, the difference in format doesn’t allow direct like-for-like comparisons to be made with previous years
