Rural Payments and Services

Applicants are now able to submit their Single Application Form. It is recommended that customers submit applications as early as possible.

The window will close at midnight on Wednesday 15 May.

Customers who are new to submitting online will have to set up a personal Rural Payments and Services account and link their business to their account before they start their application.

Background

You must submit a SAF if you wish to claim for the following schemes:

• Basic Payment Scheme (including Greening and Young Farmer payments)
• Scottish Suckler Beef Support Scheme (Mainland and Islands)
• Scottish Upland Sheep Support Scheme
• Less Favoured Area Support Scheme
• Agri-Environment Climate Scheme - annual recurrent options
• Forestry Grant Scheme - annual maintenance and management grants
• Rural Development Contracts - Rural Priorities annual recurrent options

Guidance and video tutorials are available for creating and maintaining an online account.

The 2024 SAF application window runs from 15 March to midnight on 15 May.
