The deadline for Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS) submissions is 12 June, 2015.
However, for this application round, the accompanying forms can be accepted on paper up until 30 June. If supporting documentation has not been uploaded as part of the application, please forward it to the RPID / SNH contact listed in your submitted application receipt.
This could include the farm environmental assessment, endorsement and vulnerable priority species forms.

Our guidance document on how to complete your Single Application Form has been updated slightly since we printed our booklets. The updated guidance is available on the Single Application Form page.
The changes are to the definitions of two of the activity codes (PA and AP) detailed in Annex 1, Table 1.
| PA | Undertaking production activities – where the land parcel is being used to support livestock rearing by grazing and/or taking crops. Applicable in all payment regions. For Payment Regions Two and Three this means undertaking the minimum agricultural activity which is maintaining an average level of stocking of 0.05 livestock units (lus) per hectare on all hectares for 183 days in each scheme year. A lower stocking density may be acceptable if either this can be justified by records kept for an extended period showing the carrying capacity of the land or if this lower limit is part of an environmental management agreement with Scottish Natural Heritage or an agri-environment commitment as part of the Scottish Rural Development Plan. |

Undertaking alternative practices – for Payment Region One. This means controlling injurious weeds to which the Weeds Act 1959 applies and maintaining access to those areas for livestock and / or farm machinery. In addition: as applicable, for those areas designated as Payment Region One where the use can be described as permanent grassland, maintaining existing stock proof boundaries and water sources for livestock; as applicable, for those areas designated as Payment Region One where the use can be described as arable, taking action to prevent the encroachment of scrub.
